Drawing, Dreaming and Browsing!
This week was an exciting week for us! We spent some time drawing, dreaming and browsing with our own kitchen in mind. As you can see in the photo below, our current kitchen is not very big! It felt a bit like an Alice in Wonderland scene - everything seemed really huge in the showroom. I’m sure though that we will adjust quickly once we are in the new house.
Speaking of our new house, here's the site for our future home below, along with the architectural drawing for it ...
Since the Shed Shack will now be used for public gatherings it needed to be reinforced with strong steel beams and posts in case of extreme weather during an event. This building will not be going anywhere!
We also got to meet with Micah from Coleman and Associates and review some stunning ideas they have for the landscape architecture. Look out for pictures in later blogposts!!
We harvested our first cantaloupe this week too! Our land has definitely been enjoying this damp Texan weather ...
We had our first meeting with the Bridal Extravaganza team regarding exhibiting at our first wedding show. This is Central Texas's biggest wedding/bridal show, with an estimated 800 - 1000 brides expected to attend! We’ve been busy bees preparing for the upcoming exhibit, which will be taking place Sunday, September 11th. We have been drafting our promotional material for The Cedars Ranch, brainstorming ideas for the layout of our 10'x10' booth, and buying some supplies for our exhibit. Here's a sneak peak at our draft title banner for our rear booth wall ...
Until next week,
Bill & Marilyn.
