Yurt Finishing Touches Part 2

Yurt Finishing Touches Part 2

The next step in completing the inside of the yurt was hanging all the interior divider curtains and light fixtures.

Joshua's back! You may remember him from being part of the team constructing the yurt. Luckily he's not afraid of heights, and is ready to hang some curtains and fixtures!

Here we go on another clockwise tour around the yurt, showing you the new curtains and light fixtures! We'll start in our living room and end back at our library - full circle!

Standing in our living room you can see our new curtain "walls" surrounding our bedroom. We thought that white curtains were the ideal way to create private space within our yurt, while still feeling airy and spacious.

Do you want a peek inside the curtained bedroom? Of course you do! Here you go ...

Our friend and carpenter Gary Woolfolk turned our original bed frame white to match our yurt decor. We're very happy with it. And what about these gorgeous bedside star chandeliers? We're in love with them!

Moving on, we come to the dining area, where our new lampshade has been hung above our dining table.

New light fixtures have also been hung in our kitchen.

At the other side of the kitchen wall is our restroom. To fully enclose this space on all sides, we hung more white curtains. You can also see our fun new tasseled shower curtain around the slipper tub, and our gorgeous new restroom chandelier.

Standing in our living room library you can see the new white curtains surrounding the restroom area.

It's all coming together! We look forward to sharing more progress next week!

Take care,

Marilyn & Bill.
