Then & Now: One Year Living on the Ranch!

Then & Now: One Year Living on the Ranch!

This day last year, May 30th 2016, we moved to The Cedars Ranch!! Here we are below, moving in with our RV, ready to embark on a brand new adventure!

This has been our home for a year now ... our minimal and “compact” living, in our RV under the live oaks at The Cedars Ranch!

It's been a busy year, and we've definitely being getting stuck into work here at The Cedars ...

What a difference a year makes. Check out some before and after pictures from our year of living at The Cedars Ranch!

Some of the only structures that remained after the deconstruction phase in early 2016, was this wooden porch to the right, and the red barn towards the rear of the site (below).

Today this barn is more centrally positioned amid what will be our future wedding venue campus (below). Placed on a red concrete foundation, and with internal framing nearly complete, what was the “shed shack” is now well on its way to becoming a fully functioning “event bar” and groom’s lounge.

Remember those cinder block garden beds? Not the prettiest of gardens, I'm sure you'll agree! We were so excited to have a garden on our new land, and loved working in it (below).

But the cinder blocks' days were numbered! Look at the radical garden transformation below. Thanks to Southern Exposure and some super talented local stone masons, we now have these gorgeous stone raised garden beds and pathways, cedar wood gazebo and flourishing plants and flowers.

Once work started on our garden renovation, the momentum kept going, and we ended up transforming an empty space at the side of our entry way and garden into a gorgeous maintenance and garden shed. Here's Paige Dunlap below, with the Southern Exposure crew, working on constructing the shed.

Nick-named "the tractor temple", this beautiful modern style garden shed below, now stands proud along our entrance. It was designed by HA Architecture to coordinate with the architectural style and feel of our future dance hall and reception pavilion.

Thanks to all of you for joining us on our excellent adventure!

Until next week,

Bill & Marilyn.

Hey there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering
if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code
with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
