The Wimberley Garden Tour

The Wimberley Garden Tour

What a wonderful day we had on Saturday, being one of the featured gardens on The Wimberley Garden Club's annual Garden Tour!

We had a steady stream of visitors all day. In the words of our friend Paige Dunlap, who’s our gardener here at The Cedars:

“I felt that many people were very inspired and lit up when they entered the garden. Even though we are very new on the scene, I felt well received by the community.”

Here’s some Wimberley Garden Tour visitors enjoying our garden …

Thanks to Paige and her magical green thumb, our garden was thriving and full of color! Here’s some of our gorgeous potted flowers placed throughout the garden, which include verbena, purple petunias and pink petunias.

A special thank you to the “Dosans”. These were Wimberley Garden Club volunteers that shared about The Cedars Ranch and were amazing!!! They introduced visitors to “our story” and “our dream”, and really engaged them in what The Cedars Ranch is all about!

This year the Wimberley Art League joined the annual garden tour. So as well as garden tour visitors enjoying a beautiful selection of gardens in the Wimberley area, they also got to enjoy art at the various garden locations!

We had a selection of talented local artists at The Cedars Ranch, including the following:

Connie Schaertl – oil and watercolor

Jan Fitzhugh – jewelry, mixed media and stained glass

Alyssa Surabian – wood burning with acrylic

Katie Carlson – weaving, textiles, jewelry

Sara Thurman – palette knife angels

Lynn Myers – acrylics

Some of the artists were in our garden shed, and some were in our event bar …

A huge Thank You to all who participated. We had a great time, and we hope you did too!

Until next week,

Bill & Marilyn
