You will learn:

Proven strategies to cultivate emotional well-being and build inner strength

Techniques to motivate yourself with kindness rather than self-criticism

Effective tools to manage stress and handle difficult emotions with ease

Practical skills to increase personal resiliency

Methods to access your innate well-being and inner resources

You will experience:

Freedom from harsh self-judgements and critical inner talk

A calmer and more supportive inner life

New appreciation for yourself and your own innate capacities

Enhanced inner clarity and freshness of perspective

A deep sense of restoration and renewal

Our special day of “Fierce Self-Compassion: Unplug Your Inner Critic” will commence with a variety of practical morning workshops that will help us train our thinking and build our own personal capacity.

Neil Stegall from Mariposa Sangha will lead morning workshops in mindfulness meditation - dovetailing seamlessly with Kristin Neff's "mindful self-compassion" approach that she'll share further during her afternoon keynote presentation. Neil’s style is warm and exceedingly practical. Participants will leave equipped with the tools to harness the power of the present moment, and be able to incorporate meditation into their daily lives regardless of where they were beforehand.

"A Practical Approach to Everyday Resiliency" will be an interactive morning workshop with coach and author Marilyn Orr. Marilyn is an executive and leadership coach with Capacity Building Coaching and co-owner of The Cedars Ranch. Her workshop will focus specifically on exercises that increase our resiliency from an emotional perspective. Participants will receive a copy of her resiliency workbook “How Absorbent Are Your Shocks?”. Making use of her workbook on increasing personal capacity, participants will have time and support to focus on what will help them the most and will leave with more helpful activities.

Our afternoon keynote speaker is Dr. Kristin Neff, a pioneering researcher in self-compassion at the University of Texas. Dr. Neff is both an exceptional academic and a very grounded practical speaker. She will teach a proven way to cultivate emotional well-being, build inner strength and thrive in our lives.

Interwoven throughout this day of personal growth and transformation, will be opportunities to unplug, relax and enjoy nature here at The Cedars Ranch. We’ll have some creative outdoor activities and quiet reflection zones, as well as opportunities for herb walks on the land.
