Peach Tree Wranglers & Butterfly Whisperers!
Roadwork continued on the land this past week. The circle drop-off road-cutting has started.
In order to make way for the road, a couple of peach trees needed to be moved. These are Texas peach tree wranglers! They tackled that tree and subdued it!!!
And boy have those peach trees been producing! They are laden down with fruit this week. However, something seems to have gotten to one before we did!!
Guess what our Architect Jamie (HA Architecture) spotted on the land this week? A turkey! He must know we’re vegetarian! He’s in safe territory!
Between mystery peach-eaters and wandering turkeys, we’re getting used to all our extra seen and unseen residents at The Cedars! In particular we are learning to live with all kinds of critters …
We just have to make sure we get to our fruit before they do!
Bill is continuing his stint as master photographer of the natural world at The Cedars! He’s getting particularly adept at capturing close-ups of new butterflies on the land. He’s turning into quite the “butterfly whisperer”!
And the boys can’t be having all the fun! ...
... Not quite how the song goes but Bill knows it's true now. "She thinks my tractor's sexy"!
Until next week,
Bill & Marilyn.
