Our Wellness Vision

Our Wellness Vision

Spring is officially here! We are welcoming plenty of new growth and witnessing the blossoming of ideas and visions, here at The Cedars Ranch.

This week we welcomed a healer friend to visit The Cedars. Izzy Swanson is a Reiki Healer with Transformation Reiki, who, like a lot of wellness professionals in the Austin and surrounding area, is interested in running healing and wellness retreats in the Hill Country. We loved the opportunity to introduce Izzy to our land and share our wellness vision for The Cedars.

Here we are with Izzy in our blossoming garden …

A passion to support the healing and well-being of others is the seed that started us on this journey with The Cedars Ranch. Both of us have experienced the power of healing and support that has allowed us to change faulty thinking, choose healthier behaviors and enjoy deeper levels of both joy and peace.

As we develop The Cedars Ranch physically over the next year it is on a foundation that we have been weaving together for years. There are three prongs to our vision and they overlap and intertwine:

  • We are creating a space for celebrations - weddings, reunions, etc.
  • We are creating space for corporate and business use - for strategizing, for visioning, for team building.
  • We are creating intentional space for wellness - be that relationship healing and growth, yoga, guided retreats, wellness weekends, etc.

We want wellness professionals (and there are so many kinds) to enjoy The Cedars Ranch as a place that supports their calling and offers space that encourages the growth and wellness of their clients.

While visiting the garden with Izzy, plenty of butterflies came out to greet! Izzy noted the powerful symbolism they embody: that of transformation and spiritual renewal.

We toured the future wedding venue campus, and shared our plans. These buildings will all be multi-purpose structures, ideal for hosting small and large wellness seminars, retreats and events. Our meanderings took us through Live Oak and Cedar groves, to the site of our future yoga and meditation platform. This is on an elevated part of the land, with the platform eventually providing some nice views across the countryside.

Our last stop was our “Painted Forest”. It’s a fun space where friends and guests have come and painted the trees! They have let loose and followed their creative flow! Our wish for The Cedars is that it will be a place to celebrate, explore, play, create, heal, grow … We want people to not just visit, but to come and leave their mark … To be part of the story of The Cedars Ranch.

Until next week,

Bill & Marilyn.
