New Perspectives, Overflowing Garden & Fawn Visits

We both returned this week from an extended vacation in Atlantic Canada. It was so nice to return to The Cedars. It really does feel like home. We were happy to see the "Shed Shack" in its new location and the changed view from where it used to be.

“It really has moved!” This is our first viewing of the new barn location …

Thanks to our friend Paige, we also had the pleasure of returning to an overflowing garden - butternut squash, watermelon, cantaloupe, eggplants and peppers (oh my)!

It takes a lot of love and attention to maintain a thriving garden during the Texan Summer. Check out our mammoth watermelon …

Over the past few months we have noticed a fawn. While we were gone it "enjoyed" being closer to our trailer and gazebo and we have seen it more often since returning. We were worried about it getting dehydrated so are happy for the rains, for it and our trees and garden.

Work continues on our future wedding campus. Now that the "Shed Shack" (future Event Bar), is in place, the focus is shifting to the next foundation that has to be laid. Here workers are finishing with the assembly of the barn, and drilling for correct foundation specs for our future Dance Hall.

Until next week,

Bill & Marilyn.
