Octagonal Gazebos & Abundant Orchards!

Octagonal Gazebos & Abundant Orchards!

It's been another busy week here at The Cedars Ranch. The Southern Exposure crew, Kirby, Paige, Tony and Matt have been continuing their hard work under the Texan sunshine, finishing the garden gazebo and planting the berms.

Here's some photos of the continued construction of the new garden's octagonal gazebo ...

Kirby and Matt figuring it out ...

Look at that pretty roof structure ...

Our beautiful new gazebo is nearly finished ...

Elsewhere on the land, the permaculture crew have been planting fruit trees, wild flowers and vegetables on the berms they constructed a few weeks ago. These terrace rows will be perennial food gardens / abundant orchards snaking through parts of our land. So far the following have been planted: plums, bluebonnets, cilantro, clover, ryegrass, peaches, asparagus, indian blanket, dill, apples, satsuma oranges, kale, radish. Our new fruit trees had to be caged to protect from deers. Photos to come next week!

Until next week,

Bill & Marilyn.
