So here we are, after nearly a month of deconstruction. Check out the difference a few weeks can make …
The Cedars has an ongoing commitment to being as “green” and environmentally conscious as possible. One of our key opportunities to operate sustainably and in balance with our environment, is in relation to water. With water being such a precious natural resource, especially here in Texas, we’ve decided to opt for “xeriscaping” instead of traditional water intensive landscaping. XeriSmart Water Solutions (xerismartwatersolutions.com), a xeriscaping company committed to water conscious landscaping, have been helping us achieve this aim, by working on our land the last few weeks.
Spring in full bloom here at The Cedars ...
... Surprise flowers keep gracing us with their presence!
From the beginning of our journey in creating The Cedars we have enjoyed the wisdom and friendship of "Agent Bill". Bill's wife Jean has been a huge encouragement to us. It is with deep sadness that we want to pause and acknowledge Jean's passing.
Jean was so excited with us and so supportive of us, blessing us with plants, food, advice on fire ants, laughter and friendship. We will dearly miss her.
Jean was an amazing lover of people and gardens. We will be planting a tree in her honor for the people who visit The Cedars to enjoy.
Until next week,
Bill and Marilyn.
