IT HAS BEGUN!! Yes, in all caps because we are that EXCITED!!! The construction of The Cedars Ranch event center has commenced! The bank said yes … the builders are ready … So here we go ... !

The Grady Burnette Builders crew arrived early Thursday morning ready to start work on our dance hall.

"Bo", who is Gary, the construction supervisor's dog, is ready and willing to help out too!

The construction crew, based here in Wimberley, are here stringing a line from our event bar to the site of the future dance hall nearby, to ensure both concrete slaps line up with each other ...

Our wedding venue dance hall will run perpendicular to our existing event bar, with a nice outdoor plaza area adjoining both. Below is the architectural rendering from our Canadian architects The Acre.

The day we've all been waiting for! Ground is broken and the dance hall site is being prepared for its foundation ...

Here's an architectural rendering of the dance hall that will be built on this site ...

Our local architects, HA Architecture also visited on our ground-breaking day!

"The ‘Dance Hall’ is an iconic part of Texas culture, tradition and communities across the state. Today in this beautiful hill country setting work began on our modern dance hall in collaboration with Acre Architects of New Brunswick." ~ HA Architecture

Seeing the foundation border set up really gave us an idea of how large the dance hall will be! Wow! It's big! At just under 3000 sqft, it will comfortably accommodate 200 seated wedding reception guests.

Can you imagine that this site above will eventually be transformed into this gorgeous building, here below? Architectural rendering by HA Architecture.

Bo is pretty happy about it all, and so are we!

Wishing you all a great week, and a Happy Valentine's Day too!

Marilyn & Bill.
