As the year comes to a close, it's a chance for us both to count all our many blessings and celebrate how far we've come. We feel very fortunate to have so much wonderful support around us - all our friends, family and colleagues, including everyone reading these blogposts (that's you!). We are super appreciative of our small team here at The Cedars Ranch, that helps keep everything ticking along throughout the year! What a delight therefore, that we could throw an intimate Christmas party in our yurt with Brenda our Operations Manager, her husband Brian, and our Organic Gardener Paige. Go team!
From left to right: Brian, Bill, Paige and Marilyn, celebrating in the yurt living room ...
Here's Marilyn and Brenda ...
We shared some festive drinks together ...
(This is one of our pieces of wall art for the yurt. The designers are coming back in January to hang our art, light fixtures and finish up with the interior design.)
We also enjoyed some yummy Christmas treats, including freshly made bread and cookies straight from our much loved new oven ...
"There are things you do because they feel right and they may make no sense and they many make no money and it may be the real reason we are here: to love each other and to eat each others cooking and say it was good." - Some wisdom from another piece of our wall art! Plus our guests did say they liked the cooking!
We ended our evening with Brian inviting us to all pull an "Ask the Light" miracle card, for a message of the moment ...
"Believe" - "Embrace" - "Joy" - "Treasure" - "Dream"
On that note, we have some very exciting news to share with you all. Our "dream" will indeed be coming true! We just got word that financing for our venue has been approved!! Bring on 2018 and a whole new adventure!!
To top all that, our 2 best Christmas gifts arrive in January in the form of a new grandchild in Canada and in Houston!
Happy Holidays to you all!
We will be taking a week off over the holidays, and will be back in the new year! See you all then!
With much love,
Marilyn & Bill.
