Another Cedars Ranch Love Story!

Another Cedars Ranch Love Story!

Did you know that our names are actually contained within The Cedars Ranch logo? They are inscribed in Celtic ogham script as the second and fourth ‘tree’. Ogham is an ancient Celtic alphabet, where each letter is represented by a mark on a central line. Cool, eh?

And herein lies another beautiful love story / story of synchronicity. After settling on the name for our event center, we were playing around with some logo ideas. We were envisioning something simple yet meaningful, involving the outline of trees. Then that very week I was on facebook and our future logo was right there on my home page!!! It was a facebook post from Brenda, (who's part of our Cedars Ranch team). She had just received an invite for her sister's wedding in Ireland, and shared a picture of the invitation card.

It was perfect! We re-worked the existing design to include our names in ogham script, and hey presto … our new The Cedars Ranch logo! Thank you for the inspiration Siobhán and Mick Lee (now happy newlyweds)! How perfect that the logo for our wedding venue and wellness retreat was born out of Love and Celebration.

It has been a quiet week on the ranch. The construction preparation activity consisted of our septic engineer mapping out the field and staking it.

The truth is, we enjoyed a 4-day weekend, celebrating Canada Day Friday and of course, the 4th of July on Monday. (Busy, busy, busy:  parties, ice cream festival, concert, parade, Wimberley Market Days!!!)

An update from the garden: we have harvested 6 beautiful butternut squash. We cooked 4 of them on the barbecue - very cool!

Until next week,

Bill & Marilyn.
