A Yurt Thanksgiving

A Yurt Thanksgiving

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. To those of you not living in the US, we hope you had a wonderful weekend also!

We have so much to be thankful for. Bill and I were hoping we could host family Thanksgiving in the yurt this year, and we did! What a joy! Here’s a group shot of us enjoying our Thanksgiving meal together …

Earlier in the afternoon our granddaughter Boston was found engaging in a spot of reading in the garden gazebo (be still our hearts!!) …

She remained a busy lady all day, later getting photography lessons from her Uncle Billy!

Here are a few more glimpses of our new yurt furniture. This is our new media unit for our living space …

What a relief to have our own washer and drier again! These compact Bosch washer and dryer are Energy Star rated and HE (High Efficiency). We love that. The washer plugs in to the dryer for electrical power. The dryer is ventless, it condenses and drains through the same drain as the washer. Impressive!

These gorgeous library recliners arrived during the week, along with this tribal carved coffee table to complete the cozy scene ...

Now you see them, now you don’t! All our yurt furniture are under cover today in preparation for the drywaller arriving!!

After the drywall, the plumbing can be completed, along with the electrical. We're getting there! So grateful for this excellent adventure, and for you all!

Until next week,

Marilyn and Bill.
